Almost all income comes from business.
Approximately 15% of employees work for the Government, Federal, State or Local and the money they are paid with and retirements funded with comes from income, sales, real estate and others which are all an indirect means from business.

Types of Income:

Earnings from Employment - Businesses pay you for your time and ideas
Interest - Income from lending money to people, businesses and government
Dividend - The share of income the business pays the owners.
Capital Gains - The market appreciation of a business and/or asset.
Rent - The income received for a business renting property.
Sales and/or Commission - The share of income from providing a business with a sale.

Generally earned by employees, business owners and investors.

CAREERS
About 60 million small business employees, 75 million large business employees and 23 million Government employees.

SMALL BUSINESS
There are more than 36 Million small businesses, 99.5% of all businesses with approximately 20 million businesses with no employees.

LARGE BUSINESS
More than 20,000 businesses or 0.5% of all US businesses have more than 500 employees and employ approximately 75 million people

RENTAL REAL ESTATE
There are approximately 49 million rental units, about one third of the housing market with about 70% owned by individual Mom and Pops.

REMOTE WORKERS
Roughly 32-36 million people or 22% of the US workforce, work from home at least part of the time. Industries include financial, professional, business services and information technologies are common sectors.

RIDESHARE WORKERS
There is an estimated 7 million independent contractors that work for rideshare companies including Uber, Lyft, Instacart, Shipt, Door Dash, Grub Hub, Walmart Spark, Amazon Flex, Amazon Fresh, to name a few.

PUBLICLY LISTED STOCKS
There are approximately 1,500 - 1,800 publicly traded large businesses with more than 500 employees and 2,000 - 2,200 publicly traded small businesses with less than 500 employees in the US.

AIRBNB & VRBO LISTINGS
There are approximately 1.1 million active listings, or 16% of the short term rentals market with the 5.7 million hotel and motel rooms available in the US.
